During the restoration this room revealed elaborate hand-painted frescos.

A local specialist restored the beautiful fresco, Liz Graham-Yooll, who is also an accomplished fine artist, (whose self-portrait is in the dining room (also in the background of the intro photo on her website) and lemon tree painting is in the breakfast room) is restoring the decorative painting on these walls. If you come back next year, you will see the finished work. She has refigured the trim around the French doors and blocked in the matching pattern on the 'L' of new wall in the corner. Next winter, the lace curtains will be added and the doves with the olive branches in the ceiling medallions will be touched up.
